Funny things my kids did and said to me today:
Me to my husband, "What would you think if I told you I'd....
Riley cuts me off "Want to be a weenie?" haha
************************************************************
I was using the bathroom and of course never get any privacy, Raigan comes closer and is literally trying to push me off the potty, looks in, claps her hands, and yells, "YYyaaaaaayyyy, pee pee!"
She was so proud of me. Can you tell we're starting to potty train?

Riley doesn't always nap anymore, but she is expected to stay in her room and play quietly during that time. She kept coming out of her room to ask me things and knew that she shouldn't be, because without me saying anything, giving her a look, or prompting her in any way says to me, "Mama, if I come out of my room anymore, I'll spank my butt."
I'm glad she's covering the disciplining for own self.

Lazy Days of Summer
I have had enough ramblings about myself and my life on my blog as of late, so I thought I would do my blog's name justice by flooding my blog with pictures of my beautiful girls. Their eyes are to die for, but I may be a little bias.
We have mostly been spending these summer days being really lazy, trying to keep up with the weeds out of our back yard which is nearly impossible, and spending the days in our jamies with our breakfast still on our faces. I love lazy summer days.

I'm a lucky lady
I'm a lucky lady to get to wake up to these two sugar lumps early in the mornings.
Brandon works the typical 9 to 5, and I usually work nights, so I get to snuggle these crazy kids early in the day all by myself.
I wish this little girl would tell me her secret to the bundles of energy she keeps packed away to keep her going full force all day long.
Raigan just goes with the flow and watches her crazy sissy, but I'm sure she'll be right there with her before too long.
I love them and I love the sisterly bond they already intrinsically have and the parts of that bond that develop as the days grow in numbers.
It does make me a tiny bit nervous for their teenage years, because I can already envision Riley talking Raigan into doing something that I did as a teen would make me crazy as their mother.
This is froggy, Riley's very creatively named lovey that she sleeps with every night, you can tell he has been loved and loved a little too much.
When I look at her hair it reminds me that she is slowly growing out of her babyhood and into being a little girl. That makes these morning snuggles even more important because things are changing so fast, and she is growing so big.
So we make our beds and snuggle in them, dance in our underwears, and mess them up all over again.
I'm not a morning person, and that's putting it lightly, but I take so many photos to see the beauty in these mornings instead of the groggy-sleepy vision I sometimes see them through.
Day 28
Day 28 - A picture of something you're afraid of.
Failure. It's so true though that our successes come from our failure. We learn and gain more, more motivation, knowledge, strength when we fail, but it's still scary when we do, and I'm always afraid of it.

Day 27
Day 27 - A picture of yourself and a family member.
This is one of my non blood related family members, and in the state of Kentucky I had to sign saying so before I married him. haha
I have never loved someone that wasn't blood related to me (my mom, dad, brother, children) as much as I do this man. I always was a little scared about the part where we weren't the, even though they drive you crazy you have to claim them because they are your family no matter what, share the same genes, kind of family, but he has been apart of my family since we were dating. I have never had a person stand by me through so many things, good and bad, and love me for exactly who I am, and not ask me to change anything about myself, even the qualities that I could do without.
We may not share genetics, but he is now the, drive you crazy you have to claim them because they are your family no matter what kind of family. I love you Brandon.

Making a point
There are things I strive to do and to be better at, and last week I made a point to leave my camera where it was accessible and pick it up all throughout the day. So the other day when my girlies were playing dress up to attend a ball at the palace, and were running up and down the hallways, I may have missed all the madness, had my camera not been sitting out, fully charged, with an empty SD card in it.
I'm not sure why I fool myself at the end of every semester that things will slow down and life will be a normal pace, in contrast to the chaotic pace that happens during the school year. Things don't slow down and there aren't less things to do, just different ones. I feel like in the chaos of my little ones rushing down the hallway trying to make it to their imaginary ball is so fleeting.
